MS Summer Homework
Middle School Summer Reading and Math
This has been a great year and we are already planning for the 24.25 school year. In order to help prevent the dreaded “summer slide” in academics, all enrolled students in grades 6 - 8 will be required to complete short assignments in both reading and math. In addition to these assignments, students are highly recommended to continue their weekly Membean vocabulary training.
It is required that each student complete these assignments before Monday, August 12, 2024. Reading assignments will be uploaded to Canvas and Math assignments will be submitted online.
Reading:
In 6th - 8th grade, students will be required to read one book of their choice and complete an analysis of that book. Students should read a book that they have never read before. The book choice must have at least 200 pages for 6th grade, 250 pages for 7th grade, and 300 pages for 8th grade. Successful completion of the assigned analysis will be the first grade of the school year in the Literature class. Click here for a list of possible selections. Parents should approve all reading selections for their child. Students may read shorter selections but must complete multiple selections to meet the page minimum and complete the assignment for each selection read.
Math:
Please login to DeltaMath and look for assignments for Summer 2024 by clicking on the link below for the math course you are enrolled in for the 2024-2025 school year; you will be asked to sign in to DeltaMath.
